Founded in 1583, the University of Edinburgh is one of the world's leading universities.
The University of Edinburgh is currently ranked 4th in the UK and 21st in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2015.
Located at the heart of Scotland's capital city, the University of Edinburgh is the largest university in Scotland, and offers a very wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate (taught and research) programmes across the Colleges of Humanities & Social Science, Science & Engineering and Medicine & Veterinary Medicine.
English Language courses are also available through our English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) to students with varying levels of English.
